Milton and Margie’s Soy Wax Candles makes and sells hand-poured soy wax candles in eclectic, reused containers. It is based in Chicago and owned and operated by me, Jess Duff, and is named after my kitties, Milton and Margie.
If I eat tomato sauce or pesto, jelly, hot fudge, or anything else that comes in a jar, that jar becomes a candle container! (I also have a host of friends, family, and co-workers saving their jars for me).
When I want something particular, I scour thrift stores for unique jars and glassware.
I try to reuse as much of my shipping supplies as possible. For example when I get a shipment of wax, scents, etc., I save the packing materials and boxes to reuse them. It saves on cost for you and me and it doesn’t add to junk in landfills.
I love doing custom orders! Email me at miltonandmargies@gmail.com to find out more information and to request an order.
Along with running this here shop, I am a voice editor at Groupon, the co-founder and Creative Director of the Urban Folk Circuit, and live with my husband, two dogs, two cats, and an abundance of crested geckos in Logan Square. I regularly participate in craft shows and festivals around the Chicago area, so you can get these candles straight from the source on a monthly basis.
