Faux Bois

Recently I’ve been experimenting with decorating my candles with designer paper. My grandpa gave me a bunch of Whisky glasses that are perfect for doing this, because the glass is flat and the same size from top to bottom.

I use 3M Super 77 Multipurpose Adhesive to attach the paper to the glass, and it works wonderfully. I love 3M77 because it adheres very securely to pretty much everything, and doesn’t peel off over time. I use it for all my projects that need gluing/adhering/attaching. The only problem is that it is really messy, since it is in a spray form and it is hard to get it only on the item you want to spray, so I always lay down a empty, flattened beer/pop case.

I think my faux-bois (fake wood in French, I don’t know why people don’t just say “fake wood,” including myself) candles have turned out the best. They look so modern and sleek. I could imagine them in a really modern, stylish home or a home with an eclectic, vintage style.
